Mint & Basil Julep

Ingredients

2 cups crushed ice
4 oz bourbon
2 tbs simple syrup
Fresh basil
Fresh Mint

Instructions

Break basil leaves and mint leaves and placed in a glass.
Add simple syrup and muddle until the basil and mint leaves break down which will release their oils and flavor.
Next add half a cup of ice to each class then pour 3 ounces of bourbon into each glass stir
Garnish with more basil and mint leaves and top with a little powdered sugar and enjoy
