White Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 1 peach, thinly sliced
  • 12 seedless green grapes, cut in half
  • 2 limes, sliced
  • 2 kiwi fruit, sliced
  • 1 cup berries (blackberries, strawberries, blueberries)
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 3 ounces Grand Marnier, or Cointreau
  • 750 ml dry white wine (1 bottle)
  • 2 tablespoons superfine OR castor sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Brandy, optional
  • 750 ml bottle of chilled Prosecco, Cava, or sparkling wine

Instructions

  1. Prep all the fruit and combine, setting aside some for the glasses and as garnishes.
  2. Place all the remaining fruit in a large glass pitcher. Add the Grand Marnier (or Cointreau) and white wine. Add the sugar and brandy and mix everything gently together with a large spoon. Chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours - 24 hours
  3. Add ice and the reserved fruit to serving glasses. Just before serving add the Prosecco or Cava (or sparkling wine) and mix together with a large spoon
  4. Garnish and serve.
