Ingredients
- 1 pound skirt steak
- 8 garlic gloves
- 1⁄4 cup liquid aminos
- 1⁄4 cup lime juice
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce
- 1 tbsp chopped ginger root
- Red onion (for topping)
- Pickled jalapenos (for toppings)
- Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1⁄4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
Instructions
- Start by marinating the meat. Add the garlic, sesame oil, liquid aminos, lime juice, chili sauce, and ginger root to a small mixing bowl and whisk together.
- Pour all the ingredients over the skirt steak laying flat in either a baking dish or food storage bags. Let marinate in the fridge for about 30-45 minutes.
- You can use a gas grill or a cast iron pan on height heat. Cook the meat for about 4-6 minutes each side pouring all the marinade over the skirt steak. Once the meat is done slice the steak into strips and let sit in its own juice. Then start making your sriracha mayo. Spread sriracha mayo on to the Hawaiian rolls and place the sliced steak and top that with sliced red onion, pickled ginger, and pickled jalapenos.
